“Is the Thirty Love Foundation only about tennis?” It’s a question we tend to hear more often lately. While tennis is an important part of what we do, our mission goes far beyond the sport itself. Read more in today’s blog post.
Our goal is to create opportunities for children who need them most—through education, development, and community support. Tennis is simply one of the tools we use to achieve this. That’s why we are excited to share our new partnership with Learning for All Africa. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in expanding our impact beyond the court and into the classroom.
Empowering Teachers
Education is the foundation of opportunity. Without quality education, children face limited prospects for their future. That’s why we have partnered with Learning for All Africa, founded by Ineke Bloemendaal, a Dutch teacher dedicated to improving learning experiences for children in Uganda. Since 2011, Ineke has been working hands-on with teachers, schools, and education centers to promote play-based learning, reading skills, and the creation of accessible teaching materials from local resources.
Through this collaboration, we recently trained teachers at a community school in Kampala, introducing them to Ineke’s proven methodologies, including Jolly Phonics, an engaging and effective way for young children to learn to read. Her approach moves away from the traditional rote learning system, instead encouraging active and playful learning. The response from educators has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing our belief that education should be dynamic, interactive, and fun.
Why This Matters
The children we work with face significant challenges, from lack of educational resources to limited access to structured extracurricular activities. Together with Learning for All Africa, we are helping to bridge these gaps by providing tools for both learning and personal development.
Our goal has always been to make a lasting impact—not just through the sport we love, but through opportunities that extend far beyond it. With this partnership, we are strengthening our commitment to ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
